Woah Black Eyed Peas overload! Yep, I couldn’t resist laying down a selection of pure cheese at the beginning of this mix. I just had to get it out of my system. The second half of the mix really turns it up with some absolute gems, including a fair few Axwell mixes (can the man do no wrong?). Keep an ear out for “Something To Lose”, I absolutely love this track and I am addicted to the vocals of Nadia Ali (of IIO fame). Then Kurd Maverick takes us home with his own delectable style. “Melange (noun): a motley assortment of things”

That’s exactly what this mix is. A wide variety of styles have been used, and I have created mixes between songs that really shouldn’t work.. but they somehow do. Sometimes I like to start the mix with a good mashup that catches your attention, like here for example is something you least expect but works very well. I am a big fan of Voodoo & Serano, and you should see why after hearing the two tracks I have included here. I threw Bucci Bag in, which is a classic from 2003, before an excellent vocal track by Lys & Hunzed that has become on of my favourites. Rounding it all up is an unexpected remix of The Prodigy. Slamin.

This mix is an absolute classic amongst my friends. It’s deep tribal beats have accompanied us on many beach and camping excursions, with tracks such as “Summer Moon” bringing back memories of cruising down the beaches of Double Island in 4×4’s. Even the familar Bob Sinclar tracks are completely refreshed by the vibe of the summer remixes. Who order Cheese Lovers pizza with extra cheese? Yes indeed this mix is entirely made up of commercial hits, so it works very well at a party where people are new to dance music.
